Area description

Lake Garda is a wonderful place for a holiday. Architecture, beautiful scenery, elegant lakeside towns and promenades, wonderful lake views, watersports, adventure and theme parks, golf... there is truly something for everyone in the family here.

Villa Sarah is set in the hills above Salò, on the Brescian shore of the lake (the western shore, facing south-east). A short drive down the hill is the lovely lakeside town of Salò, which has boutiques, wonderful restaurants and elegant bars, the ferry which you can hop on to explore the other towns of the lake in style, and a small pebble beach with sparkling clear, fresh water suitable for swimming and a popular spot for scuba divers.

Also nearby are several horse riding and trekking facilities, wake-boarding clubs at nearby Padenghe, and kite- and wind-surfing to the north at Campione.

Venice and Milan are easy day-trips away by train, with regular schedules from Desenzano train station (45 minute drive).

Your review of the accommodation:
"Fabulous very well presented and fully equipped villa with stunning views over mountains and lake garda one of those occasions where reality was actually better than the photos! Beautifully cared for gardens and immaculately clean house and pool. Pool heating definitely worth it when staying off peak season as otherwise too chilly. Sarah and Enso lovely welcoming couple even made us lasagne one night and got to sample home made lemoncello which was all an unexpected but really lovely treat making us feel special. Hope to visit again especially when Enzo's bar is up and running. Such a great family holiday we all loved it!"

"We spent 2 weeks at Villa Sarah in May 15. From the moment of our arrival we were hosted by Enzo (owner) who couldn't have been more helpful or generous (including a delicious home made lasagne) with local tips/places to visit. The views from the villa are second to none along with the pool/house facilities. We hope to return very soon and would recommend the house/area to anyone contemplating a visit to this beautiful part of Italy."
